Better Than Dinner and a Movie – Lunch and Museums

Williamsburg MuseumsMuseum lovers enjoy a first-time-ever opportunity during March as Colonial Williamsburg offers an annual museums pass — an entire year’s admissions to all three Colonial Williamsburg museums — and lunch in the DeWitt Wallace Museum Café for just $20 per person.

The special museum promotion includes year-long access from the date of purchase to the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg — the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum and the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum — and Bassett Hall, the Rockefellers’ Williamsburg home, and a lunch — entrée, dessert and non-alcoholic drink — at the Museum Café.

Museum fans may purchase the annual museum pass and lunch coupon at the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum or any Colonial Williamsburg ticket sales location. The offer is valid only for purchase March 6-31. The lunch coupon must be redeemed at the Museum Café and only during the month of March. The offer cannot be used with other discounts or premiums, not available to groups and other restrictions may apply.

Colonial Williamsburg Art Museums offers an audio tour created by teens for teens. The tour guides young guests through the galleries and tells them the history of objects, such as “The Portrait of Deborah Glen.”

The Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg are comprised of the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum and the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum. The Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum is home to the nation’s premier collection of American folk art, comprising more than 5,000 folk art objects made in America during the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries and embracing most categories of American folk art by well-known folk artists. The DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum exhibits the best in British and American decorative arts from the period 1670–1830.

The Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg are located at the intersection of Francis and South Henry Streets, in Williamsburg, Virginia and are entered through the Public Hospital of 1773. Beginning Jan. 4, the operating hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Beginning March 15, hours revert to 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
