Sherlock Holmes Weekend in a Victorian Town

on March 7, 2010 – 6:23 am

A baffling new mystery for 2010 has Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s master sleuth returning to Cape May, New Jersey for Sherlock Holmes Weekend, March 19-21.

Sherlock Holmes investigates the clues to a baffling mystery during Cape May’s Sherlock Holmes Weekend, sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts and Humanities (MAC), Friday, March 19 through Sunday, March 21. The master sleuth, Sherlock Holmes, and his stalwart companion, Dr. Watson, are faced with a new mystery for 2010: “The Case of the Demons in a Padded Room,” by John K. Alvarez. Holmes and Watson have returned to Cape May to assist their friend Madame Samantha Reinhart. Madame Reinhart is facing a dilemma which, if it comes to fruition, will have dire consequences for her hospital and quite possibly for England itself. Come and see how the master detective and his stalwart companion face many challenges as they try to identify what is lurking within Room #92, as well as within the heart of the criminal.  Throughout the weekend, participants will get in on the chase during the Search for Clues Tour, vie for prizes, and enjoy performances, lunch and an optional theatrical production. Full weekend packages, as well as affordable overnight packages are available. The Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts and Humanities (MAC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of Cape May’s heritage. MAC also fosters the performing arts. MAC membership is open to all. To order tickets or for information about MAC’s year-round schedule of tours, festivals, and special events, call 609-884-5404 or 800-275-4278, or visit MAC’s web site at http://www.capemaymac.org/.
