Keeping Time in Style
Ladies chatelaine watches set with precious stones were very fashionable during the Edwardian era. A lady could have a dozen watches, but the chatelaine watch was the most stylish of the day. Chatelaine watches came in shades of French enamel, gold, silver, and black steel. The decorative watch brooch would be set with precious stones or shaped into bows. Highlighted are antique watches from 1903 revealing the sophisticated elegance and opulence of the Edwardian era. See examples here.
