Garden Seating

on July 12, 2010 – 8:51 am

The Victorian garden and veranda were often as extravagantly furnished as the accompanying house or mansion. Designing marvelous gardens was a passion during the 19th century; as much thought was put into choosing outdoor furniture as was in the furnishing of the home. Seating arrangements would be attractive and ornate, bringing an “indoor living-room” atmosphere to the outdoor garden. Cast iron or wrought iron seating was a popular choice for the Victorian garden or veranda. See examples here.
