Mary Janes with anklets, short hair styles with large bows, and loose-fitting dresses more suitable for playing were worn by young girls in the mid-to-late 1910s. These comfortable fashions were created in bright colors and a variety of fabrics. McCall’s magazine often featured illustrations of their latest pattern styles for the creative dressmaker.
