Buckingham Palace is sharing over 600 images of the Royal Family, both past and present on the new British Monarchy Flickr page. Along with photographs documenting recent royal engagements, many historic photographs of 19th century Queen Victoria and her family can be viewed. These photographs are large images in which you can clearly see the royal family posing in stylish period clothing. Included is the photograph of Queen Victoria surrounded by her children in which her face is smudged out. It is said that the Queen so disliked the pose with her eyes closed that she rubbed out her face with her finger.
